EMPLOYMENT POSITIONS

Full-Time Positions

Occasionally, full-time vacancies occur within the Police Department for Police Officers and other positions. All full-time Police Officer vacancies are filled from civil service hiring lists. The best way to find out if we are seeking to fill an opening for Police Officer is to use the E-notification system.  Click this link - E-notifications - and enter your name and an email address in the space provided.  Then scroll down to the Employment Opportunities section and select the check box for the Police Department an (and/or any other city department you would be interested in receiving job posting notifications from).  Finally, when you have made the selections you would like, be sure to scroll to the bottom and click "save".  Civil Service test announcements will also appear in local newspapers and on the Iowa Workforce Development website.
