Litter Clean Up and Booth Registration
Help make Mason City Sparkle! It is the wonderful volunteers of Mason City who help clean our community that make Mason City what it is!
What: Earth Day Litter cleanup around Mason City
Where: Around your business, neighborhood, or in your favorite park. You chose your cleanup spot!
How: Register your team online or contact Drew at 641-421-3372 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Better reserve your area quick while your section is still available!
When: Saturday, April 22nd from 8-10 a.m., or anytime the week of April 10-24.
Details: People of all ages are invited to come. Bags and rubber gloves are available at the Volunteer Coordinator’s Office in City Hall before cleanup day. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own heavy-duty work gloves and wear appropriate clothing depending on the weather.
If you are cleaning up on a different date than April 22, you can either drop your bags off at the lower level Southbridge Parking lot, or call or email Drew to get them picked up.
A metal bin will be provided at the festival so we ask that you separate out those items and place them in the metal bin. Metal is a resource that can be continuously recycled into different items.
A prize will be awarded to the team that finds the most unusual trash item, and brings it along to the festival to be entered in the contest.
